The Open Eye Club was invited by Tramway to curate an event in Tramway 4, a theatre space, in November 2006. In response to this invitation The Open Eye Club commissioned 6 artists to create new works specifically for bazaar. The intention of this invitation to artists, whose work is not exclusively video based, was to encourage an engagement with this medium and indeed each other's practice. bazaar evoked and encouraged an experimental non-prescriptive approach to the processes of art making and curating. The Open Eye Club's criteria for bazaar was that of possibility; of seeing what happens when certain people, elements and practices are brought together.
An essay in response bazaar by Sarah Smith was available at the event and can be read by clicking here.

Derek: We had many ideas for this film. We settled on one but eventually went with the afterthought.
Jason: I don’t think this is strictly true. I think perhaps my colleague is mistaken. I feel that the actual end product was not an afterthought. In fact I remember it being mentioned early on in the creative process.
Mickey: Attempting to be me was a very personal thing and I’m glad.
Jason Nelson: Lives and works in Dundee, currently studying an MSc at DOJ.
Mickey Mallett: I’m currently studying an MFA at DOJ.
